An air treatment system comprises a dehumidification unit ,comprising a liquid desiccant system suitable for dehumidifying process air. An indirect evaporative cooling unit , cools process air from the dehumidification unit and cools the liquid desiccant. A vapour compression unit comprising a compressor , a condenser and an evaporator further cools process air from the indirect evaporative cooling unit. Plate type counter flow heat exchangers may be used to cool the desiccant using water from the indirect evaporative cooling unit. Another heat exchanger may use waste heat from the compressor to raise the temperature of the liquid desiccant. An eliminator may reduce liquid desiccant carryover into the process air. A regenerator may concentrate desiccant which has been diluted by absorption of moisture, the regenerator comprising a cellulose pad eliminator . Scavenger air leaving the indirect evaporative cooling unit may be cooled by passing through the condenser of the vapour compression unit.

Unique encyclopedia for native and adaptive plants in Qatar and the region is authored by GORD and all results of the project were incorporated into the new reference book. The encyclopedia is shared with Parks Department in MME and waiting for their comments before joint publication.

Energia Suite is performance-based energy assessment tool based on CEN/ISO standard. Used for building projects, this sophisticated software eliminates the need to spend significant time on implementing modifications for enhanced energy efficiency. Developed by Python programming, Energia Suite calculates the building’s energy use based on CEN ISO calculation method and translates the calculated energy and emission into effective Energy Performance Coefficient and Energy Performance Label.

A method for producing calcium sulfoaluminate cement comprising the steps of providing thermal energy by combustion of sulphur and/ or a sulphur-containing compound, reacting sulphur oxides produced by combustion of the sulphur and/or sulphur-containing compound with a mixture of calcium oxide and/or carbonate, and alumina and/or its hydrates to form a sulphur-containing mixture, heating the sulphur-containing mixture using the thermal energy to produce a clinker, and reacting remaining sulphur oxides produced by combustion of the sulphur and/or sulphur-containing compound with lime. The sulphur and/or sulphur-containing compound preferably comprises elemental sulphur, sour crude, sour gas or calcium sulfate.
