Aim Objective

To investigate the state of the art literature in the area of occupant health, productivity and behavior change practices in buildings worldwide and identify key performance indicators and document the relationships between occupant health, productivity and behavior change and factors of green building guidelines.

Results

A framework with a smart decision support system that takes into account occupant health, productivity and behavior change and facilitates building these features at the design stage and help architects and designers in the future.

Major Impact Expected
  • Incorporation of research outcomes in GSAS manuals for designing and constructing new projects GSAS is a mandatory green building certification system for government projects.
  • Development of web based tool that can be used by designers to assess the impact of design features on occupant productivity and well being.
