Established in 2009, GORD Institute is the research and development hub from which GORD develops novel technologies that foster its vision for sustainable development in the built environment.

The institute contributes to research in industry and academia through the dissemination of its ongoing research related to innovative materials, carbon capture, cooling technologies as well as energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.

The institute conducts its multidisciplinary scientific research programs through its own resources as well as its partnerships with local and international institutions to enhance the sustainable built environment in the region and beyond.
