GORD Institute is the research arm of the Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD). Established in 2009, the Institute serves as the dedicated research and development hub developing novel technologies that realize our vision for a climate-resilient future.
We are engaged in multidisciplinary, long-term research projects across key areas including innovative eco-materials, advanced energy efficiency, specialized HVAC and cooling solutions, renewable energy, and crucial work in carbon capture and climate change.
The Institute conducts these scientific programs through a combination of its own resources and strategic partnerships with local and international institutions, aiming to decisively enhance the sustainable built environment both in the region and globally. The measurable outcomes of this R&D activity include several patented technologies, software packages, books, and peer-reviewed articles, ensuring the Institute continually contributes valuable knowledge to both industry and academia.
