This area addresses the significant energy demand associated with air conditioning (AC) in hot climates. Research efforts here are dedicated to designing and developing greener, highly energy-efficient cooling systems and components, such as SYNERGIA9n1— a next-generation dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) that can drastically reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing thermal comfort and sustainability.
