Battery Development & Characterization

GORD Institute offers integrated consulting and laboratory services for advancing next-generation battery technologies, with a focus on lithium-ion, lithium-sulfur, and aqueous zinc battery systems. Our facilities feature glovebox-based workstations for precise electrode preparation and coin-cell assembly, supported by high-accuracy Biologic potentiostats for EIS, CV, cycling, and other electrochemical evaluations.

Material characterization is enabled through BET surface-area analysis, SEM/EDS, FTIR, UV–Vis, TGA and complementary particle-size and electrolyte analysis tools. These combined capabilities allow in-depth study of performance, degradation mechanisms, and interfacial behavior, providing a strong foundation for optimizing formulations, benchmarking materials, and accelerating battery research and development.

In addition, we provide guidance on test protocol development, benchmarking against commercial standards, and interpreting electrochemical data for R&D decision making, scale-up planning, or publication. Whether assisting startups, academic groups, or industrial partners, GORD Institute helps accelerate battery innovation by delivering reliable insights, performance validation, and tailored solutions for material development and next-generation energy storage technologies.
